Our goal for Caring for America is to encourage Republican women to show their compassionate and caring philosophy and that of the Republican Party they are proud to be an integral part of. Our outreach is in the form of being directly involved in making people’s lives better and in assisting local and nation-wide programs that share that mission.
To achieve this goal, the National Federation of Republican Women created “Caring for America” in 1999 to encourage State Federation and local clubs to be committed in looking for ideas within their state and communities to make a difference.
Each state and local club is encouraged to have a “Caring for America” Chair. The state should help the local clubs look for ways to be involved within their community by being a good resource when clubs are looking for a project to fit the qualifications of their members. Local clubs within a geographical area can decide to work together. At the NFRW Biennial Convention, clubs will be recognized for their efforts in taking care of America. Forms are provided for each club to highlight its project(s). Each state will choose a project from each membership level (small, medium, large, mega) to represent its state. The NFRW Caring for America Committee will then have the privilege to select and award a national winner.
All clubs are asked to participate not for the honor, but to make a positive difference within their communities. Sharing their projects will encourage others to follow. Republican women, by their nature, are always aware of the needs of others. We care deeply about our country and community, and know that by being involved in making a difference in the lives of our neighbors we highlight the true values of the Republican Party and especially the values of being a Republican woman. We are the organization the can turn this country around since we are the ones who care about each individual and value each person’s unique qualities.
Please take time to look for ways to make our communities and our country better. For instance, we need to focus on helping youth realize how blessed they are live in this country. Our youth are future leaders but many feel there is no future for them. Republican women can change this scenario. We can make a difference in these future leaders’ lives by engaging them in worthwhile projects.
The NFRW knows you are the BEST of the BEST. Together, we can make a huge change by truly looking for ways to show WE CARE ABOUT AMERICA! Be involved, and make it meaningful and fun.
